1 - What are the requirements for a company to obtain the SunR and PV CYCLE Recycling Certificate and become a member?
Companies that manufacture photovoltaic modules, generate solar energy, or any company in the sector committed to the appropriate disposal of photovoltaic waste, can obtain this certification.
If your company seeks to align with best sustainability practices and ensure the responsible disposal of your waste, you are qualified to obtain the Conforsun and PV CYCLE Recycling Certificate.
2. What is the certificate issuance process?
After paying the membership fee and signing the contract, PV CYCLE issues the Membership Certificate for a specified period of at least one year. The certificate is issued after the invoice related to the membership fee has been settled.
3. What is included in the guidance offered by PV CYCLE and Conforsun with the certificate?
Support includes access to the service network for dismantling, packaging, collection, transportation and recycling of photovoltaic modules and other sector waste. This support aims to guide members through the correct disposal process with Conforsun and ensure that waste will be transported and disposed of within the country's current regulations.
4. What is the validity of the certificate?
The certificate's validity period can vary from one year to three years – depending on the terms and values agreed with the organizations. After this period, it can be renewed by communicating at least one month in advance.
5. What are the benefits for companies that acquire the certificate?
Security that the company has all the information so that the waste disposal process is carried out within the rules and with honest and responsible third parties. Furthermore, the certificate brings an additional competitive advantage, guaranteeing commitment to sustainable management of the end of life of products. 6. Does the certificate offer any form of visibility or recognition for companies that hold it?
The company can use the logo and certificate in external communications, such as leaflets, brochures and marketing material. However, using the logo or certificate on products is not permitted. Use must be accompanied by a clear statement that PV CYCLE does not automatically manage waste from the company's products.
